About
Angi Newman
With over forty years of painting experience, I enjoy trying new techniques and experimenting with different media. I spend one day a week teaching Art at a head injuries charity called Headway, where I deliver creative challenges that give great results for all the members differing abilities. The rest of my time is spent completing commissions of mainly equestrian and dog subjects, amongst other things.
History
My Story and Skills
Having left Hereford Art College, I moved to Birmingham, and worked as a graphic designer making name plates, followed by a move working as a storyboard artist for an audio visual company. I then moved to Toye Kenning and Spencer, where I worked as a miniature enamel painter, painting regalia for Lord Mayors chains of office and other ceremonial items.
I then met my husband, Ted and moved back to Hereford to be with him. Initially working for DJS Ceramics as a hand painter, I then moved to Ross Pots where I was a general ceramic artist and painter. Through out this time I was taking and completing various commissions of my own and eventually, Ted and I decided to start Newman Design Ltd, together.
