Raised Access Floor Panel Expoded View
Bathgate Flooring, the leading raised access flooring producer in the UK, asked us to create some exploded illustrations of their range of panels for use in technical data sheets.

Plan & Sketch
Designed to be used on data sheets to help convey the structure of a floor panel, so users understand why an apparently steel panel has been certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

Digital Refinement
The shapes were drawn in a vector program and then custom bitmap fills applied for the material textures, for example the galvanised steel and the chip board. High lights and shadows were added with more shapes filled with transparent gradient fill colours.
